About the Claims Validation team

Tackling fraud is one of the biggest challenges for the insurance industry. And here at NFU Mutual, it’s not one that we take lightly. From exaggerated claims to staged incidents, insurance fraudsters are using ever-more sophisticated methods to attempt to defraud NFU Mutual. That’s why we’re expanding the capabilities in our Claims Validation Intelligence team; to ensure that we stay one-step-ahead of the fraudsters. We’ve recently invested in cutting-edge counter fraud technology to enable us to identify fraudulent claims earlier and faster than ever before. Join us as a Claims Validation Intelligence Analyst and we’ll look to you to investigate fraud risks using our market-leading intelligence systems.

About the role

Working with Intelligence Analysts and Researchers, you’ll use our intelligence system – BAE Systems NetReveal – to build a picture of claims fraud risk. Responding to alerts and investigating suspicious claims, you’ll gather intelligence around people, addresses, vehicles and other parties connected to claims in order to analyse and assess the risks. We’ll also look to you to continually monitor and review NFU Mutual and market trends in order to make recommendations as to how we can improve things for the future. This is a crucial role where you’ll have the chance to help defeat fraud, influence our approach to intelligence management and contribute to the claims counter fraud strategy.

About you

Self-driven and motivated, you’re an analytical thinker with a deep understanding of fraudulent behaviour. Your wealth of intelligence experience will mean that you’re excellent at collecting, managing, analysing and disseminating information. You’ll need to manage your own case alerts and work load so strong time-management skills are a must. A thorough understanding of BAE Systems Network, or a similar counter fraud intelligence technology is essential, and good reporting and communication skills are also key. If you hold a relevant technical or professional qualification, such as ACII or ACFS, that’s even better.

About the rewards

In return for your hard work, we offer a competitive benefits package including an attractive pension scheme, 25 days’ holiday, a bonus scheme, staff discounts, flexi-time, ongoing professional development and a unique and supportive working environment.
