Autonet Insurance is a privately owned company, first established in 1998 in Stoke-On-Trent; this was the opening chapter in what has become a very successful insurance story. After just two years the company hit a turnover of one million pounds. Success continued year after year and the company has grown to become the UK’s largest independent van insurance broker with a turnover in excess of £100 million.
Our philosophy is at the core of everything we do; to provide a superior and professional service to customers. We are committed to helping our 600 plus staff to achieve their goals and encourage them to be the best at what they do.
Autonet handles over 600,000 calls a year and maintains excellent relationships with over 30 of the leading and most trusted insurance providers. The company pride themselves on being the employer of choice in the local area.
The insurance industry is in a near constant state of evolution and Autonet seek to do all they can to stay abreast of the latest developments and to be mindful of the way consumers shop for insurance.
In 2010, Autonet launched a van insurance price comparison site for Moneysupermarket.com, further demonstrating its expertise in the insurance field and not limiting itself to being a broker.
Our Commitment to Helping Charities
Autonet set up their charity committee in 2010.
Over the past two years the company has raised over £40,000 for local and national charities. Campaigns have included raising more than £1,800 for two-year-old Lewis Jones of Longton, who had both of his legs amputated to the knee and lost fingers on both hands after being struck down with meningitis, £3000 for Douglas Macmillan Hospice and £2,200 to kit out the new Cheethams Children’s centre at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
Autonet staff members dedicate a lot of time to fundraising. The committee is made up of employees and has a firm commitment to helping the local area in particular.
Awards and Achievements
Autonet were declared winners of the 'Insurance Times Personal Lines Broker of the year' in 2010. This is an outstanding achievement and one of the most coveted awards in the insurance industry.
In 2012, Autonet was nominated for The Sentinel Business Awards in the Business of the year category. The company entered the Training Excellence award, sponsored by Ageas Insurance Solutions, and The Prince's Charities-backed Community Engagement category.
Autonet continue to be a solid contender for insurance awards, continually making finalists in numerous categories.
