Customer Service Adviser – Home Based

Your role will be to handle customer demand across our client’s motor insurance product which will include; assisting customers with the buying, servicing and renewal aspects of their journey & processes.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, accurate data entry skills, responsibility, adaptability, confidence, as well as the ability and a strong motivation to work from home.
As you will be working from home, PC literacy, high flexibility in your schedule, good organisation, independence and self-reliance are essential.
Starting £7.65 per hour + up to £1.25 per hour bonus
After successful completion of probation: £7.85 per hour + up to £1.25 per hour bonus
After twelve months, subject to performance: £8.65 per hour + up to £1.25 per hour bonus
You will be taking inbound calls from your home-office on an Annualised Hours Contract Basis.
Annualised Hours means that if you are employed to work a set number of hours per week (your Contractual Hours, 30 hours per week), during “off peak weeks” you will be required to work less hours per week (around -15%), and then during “peak weeks”, you will be required to work more hours per week (around +15%).
• Monday to Friday 8am – 8pm
• Saturday 8:30am-5pm
• Sunday and 10am-4pm
• Peak Times:
• Monday to Friday 8am – 12pm and 4pm – 8pm
• Saturday and Sunday 10am – 2pm
• Monday 8am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm
• A minimum of 2 evening (4-8pm) shifts per week
• 1 Friday evening (4pm to 8pm) every
• A minimum of 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays each 4-week period
The above may change depending on client’s requirements which are driven by customer demands.
You will need to provide a quiet and secluded home office equipped with a dedicated telephone line, a dedicated wired broadband connection, a dedicated to work PC (desktop), 2 monitors and a telephone handset with headset, all meeting our required specifications.
You will also need to attend a mandatory paid full time 6 weeks training course to be delivered virtually over set shifts.
We will conduct the following background checks:
Establish your legal right to work in the UK
Verify your last two years activity
Carry out criminal history checks
Checks your details against a fraud prevention database
Carry out a credit check, which will check for county court judgements, bankruptcy and individual voluntary arrangements
If you do have any county court judgements, have been made bankrupt, have an individual voluntary arrangements or criminal conviction, this does not necessarily mean that we cannot consider you for the role. A decision would be made depending on your circumstances and the role in question.
