Fixed term contract for 12 months

Together our staff and students are discovering innovative ways to change the world for the better and there has never been a more exciting time for you to join us. We are ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide and have an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. We are led by discovery and innovation, with the synergy between research and learning at the core of our activity.

In this role you will conduct teaching in the area related to Actuarial Science.   You should have an excellent research record in an area of mathematics or statistics related to Actuarial Science which is consistent with the Department’s existing research strengths, or extensive professional experience in the actuarial industry.  You will contribute to teaching on undergraduate and MSc programmes in Actuarial Science, both campus-based and distance learning.

You will deliver teaching, administration and other activities to ensure that a high level of service is provided to mathematics and actuarial science students at all levels, through the delivery of lectures, problem classes, computer classes and marking both on campus and via distance learning. This is a great opportunity to enhance the Department’s growing reputation in its teaching activities both internally and with our external partners.
