Central London

One of the biggest multinational Insurance companies is looking for an experienced IT Service Manager to lead the IT run processes.
With support from other IT teams and third-party vendors you will take a responsibility for the Incident, Problem, Request and Release management, Service Desk, Application and Infrastructure Management. Also, you will be supporting Data Governance and Business Intelligence areas.

The following areas need immediate attention and improvement:  
  • Use of Confluence & Models 
  • Support Knowledge Base 
  • Release Management 
  • Environment Management 

Key Attributes:
  • Technical skills in applications maintenance 
  • Technical skills in infrastructure maintenance
  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems or related study
  • ITIL certification would be of benefit
  • IT service management for a company with highly diversified outsourced development and operations – for both applications and infrastructure. 
  • Performance management of third party vendors, with a proven track record of using concrete KPIs
  • Experience of working in an insurance company 
  • Experience of working in a data-driven company would be of benefit

  • Cost Awareness and Budgeting: Regularly track expenses against budget projections to ensure that spending levels can be adjusted as necessary.
  • Implementing New Technologies: Implement and integrate new technology in a manner that gains quick acceptance from stakeholders while minimizing disruptions to day-to-day work requirements.
