Our client, a leading loss adjuster, seek a Claims Team Leader within their Property division. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and co-ordinating a team of Adjusting Technicians to ensure the effective and efficient handling of claims. Applicants will require Property claims experience and ideally have previous claims management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Work towards developing a technically sound culture of participation and involvement by encouraging the team to communicate effectively and efficiently demonstrating full support to the wider claims team.
Developing a team of technicians with a view to producing a competent desk adjusting service.
Ensure clear objectives are set for members of the team, monitoring progress, taking corrective action and controlling performance levels.
Implement coaching and training techniques to ensure that all team members are confident and knowledgeable when dealing with customers.
Focus on achieving personal, team and department goals and deal with problems or conflict which affect these, as appropriate.
Ensure that the department follows standard adjusting & claims procedures to determine the validity of claims handled by the department.
Communicating professionally with a variety of people including customers, insurers, adjusters, loss assessors, surveyors, external specialists, finance companies and other clients.
Ensure verbal complaints received are handled following agreed guidelines and procedures.
Maintain and build client and insurance underwriter relationships.
Involvement in recruitment and selection processes, job specific training and employee development.
Identify in conjunction with other members of the department areas for process & system improvement
Ensure compliance to all regulatory, company and client requirements
