This role represents a fantastic opportunity to join the head office account team as we build our portfolio capability following implementation of the Azure II strategic project. The role of Portfolio Analyst will be aligned to the digital motor portfolio.

Working closely with and reporting to the Commercial Motor Portfolio Manager your responsibilities will include:
o Working collaboratively across the team to track trading performance, portfolio mix and top & bottom line performance, identifying the root causes for any variations compared to plan
o Maintain and develop a robust and flexible reporting mechanism to track high level performance indicators and rapidly respond to business questions
o Develop and deliver simple and concise portfolio insight
o Identify and evaluate new sources of potentially predictive data to support meeting profit and growth targets
o Collaborate across the wider business to develop and promote best practice portfolio management techniques and processes

 

Skills and Experience:

To be a success in this role, you will have a high level of numerical ability, as well as the following:

* Experience of analysing the performance of General Insurance portfolios, preferably in a digital trading environment
* Proven ability to work with large volumes of data from disparate sources to deliver actionable insight
* Excellent Excel skills
* Familiarity with insurance and the insurance market place
* CII qualified or working towards desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of using SAS or other coding software is preferred.
