We are continually looking for ways to further enhance this service and strive to be the best we can for our members. There are some exciting changes to our Head Office Claims function that have recently been announced, which will see an investment in our claims capability in order to reinforce our commitment to look after our customers and improve our control of indemnity spend.

As a result of this change, we are looking for experienced and highly skilled claims leaders to join our Head Office Claims team in Stratford upon Avon. Being approachable and influential, you will build strong and collaborative relationships with our regional claims teams, leading to further improvements in our customers’ claims experience, whilst controlling claims spend to keep our customers’ premiums at a fair level.

More about the Role

Our Head of Injury Claims role is a brand new position that will be responsible and accountable for setting and achieving financial performance and member experience targets across injury claims whilst also supporting the Senior Claims Management team to develop and deliver NFU Mutual’s claims strategy.

By managing technical standards and development programmes, you will ensure alignment with best practice and regulatory requirements, as well as the effective implementation of technical training which delivers consistency, risk minimisation, indemnity spend control and fair outcomes for our members.

The role will have the support of our Injury Claims Manager and Large Loss Technical Manager, working together to support our Head of Technical Claims through leading injury claims inputs into Medium Term Plan projections and other relevant Committees up to board level, providing expert recommendations to help with our Long Term Objectives.

About You

We are seeking a driven and determined claims leader who has wide experience of all aspects of injury claims, as well as a strong market presence and credibility in this area. You will possess exceptional leadership skills and have a proven ability to influence effectively at senior levels. You’ll need to be able to set and gain commitment to delivery of strategic improvement and change plans. A strong track record in delivering and demonstrating performance improvements is essential.

You will have experience of setting and overseeing the application of injury claims reserving practices, along with a detailed understanding of how these impact upon business results and plans.
