A City based insurance company seek a Professional Indemnity Claims Adjuster. You will assist the Claims Manager in the day to day operation and control of the claims function, to ensure that claims are processed and settled on a timely, equitable and commercial basis and are reserve accurately in accordance with their liabilities, so as to minimise the impact of claims on the Company's results, whilst constantly striving to develop and improve service and quality standards.


Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

Ensures review and monitoring of claims, to maintain accurate file by file reserves to meet the Company's liabilities in respect of all incidents notified.
Ensures all claims allocated are controlled within company philosophies and SLA's to achieve investigation, negotiation and equitable settlement in accordance with levels of expertise and authority.
Provides support to senior management in referrals to ensure efficient progress to resolution of claims whilst encouraging motivation, team-spirit and customer/quality practices.
Ensures customers are treated fairly at all times.
Liaison with Underwriters regarding policy queries, providing claims support and expertise.
Ensures all complaint related issues and all such incidents are logged and concluded in accordance with company policy.
Monitors and reports upon services and costs of external providers, so as to minimise fees and achieve the best value for the Company and to ensure they act as ambassadors for the Company.
Attends and/or chairs meetings at company office locations and at broker or client premises.
Demonstrates a willingness to work any such additional hours as may be necessary to fulfil the employee's duties, as reasonably required.


Job Requirements

Extensive experience of working within a similar role (Several years within an Insurance company).
High level of technical Professional Indemnity Claims knowledge.
Minimum 3 A levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to underpin relationship building.
