Assistant Catastrophe Analyst
Arthur Financial are working with a well renowned Insurance company who are looking to expand and add value to their team through the appointment of an Assistant Catastrophe Analyst. Our Client is a specialist, agile Insurance group with a strong presence across the UK. They have ambitious growth plans and are set on breaking into the Lloyds market's top 15 over the next two years.
Working within their Catastrophe Modelling team, compromised of several people who have started in a similar entry-level position over the past few years, you will gain exposure to multiple classes of business and be allowed to build relationships with key stakeholders within the business from the start. Supporting the Senior Catastrophe Analyst, your overall focus will be to maintain and analyse the Catastrophe model databases and exposures. The role will be primarily comprised of data processing and using the Catastrophe Modelling software and Exposure Management tools in order to create reports for the relevant stakeholders.
In addition to the Catastrophe Modelling exposure, you will also be given full training both on the job and through bespoke workshops to further develop your existing technical skillset using languages such as R, VBA and SQL.
The successful candidate will be a recent graduate with strong technical skills and knowledge of programming or scripting languages. Although prior experience isn't essential, if you have a background in data handling or modelling, this would be advantageous.
