Arthur Financial are working with a growing and innovative Insurance company who offer insurance and reinsurance coverage across a diverse range of risk classes and who are looking to add value to their team through the appointment of an Exposure Analyst.
Working within their Exposure team, compromised of several people who have started in similar entry-level positions over the past few years, you will gain exposure to multiple classes of business including; Property, Cargo, Utilities and Binders. You will be allowed to build relationships with key stakeholders within the business from the start. Working with the Catastrophe Analysts within the team and reporting directly into the Exposure Manager, your overall focus will be to support the underwriting teams by processing raw underwriting data, quantifying risks and carrying out risk analysis. The role will be primarily comprised of recording, calculating and monitoring exposure data and getting involved in ad hoc projects beyond this.
In addition to the exposure you will gain to talent and business classes, you will also be given full training on-the-job to further develop your existing technical skill set using languages such as R, VBA and SQL.
The successful candidate will be a recent graduate with the aptitude for using coding languages, an eye for detail and the ability to handle, manipulate and analyse large data sets to draw conclusions. You will also be a competent communicator with a track record of being able to commit yourself to tasks. Although prior experience isn't essential, if you have a background in data handling or modelling, this would be advantageous.
