Acumen are excited to be working with a global business process management company who have partnerships with a large number of global insurers, reinsurers and InsurTech companies and are seeking a Group Reporting Accountant in London to join them to work on a newly formed international specialty insurer (Syndicate and MGA) with global operations. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a large established global company and work on a start-up insurance operation and take ownership of a range of operational tasks supporting the finance function.

The successful candidate should have broad knowledge Insurance accounting, be familiar with industry regulatory reporting requirements and confident in interacting with senior stakeholders internally & externally.

Core responsibilities:

  • Coordination and preparation of all Regulatory reporting, including but not limited to:
    • Lloyd’s reporting (CMR and Non-CMR)
    • Solvency II & SFCR
    • FCA & NAIC reporting
    • BMA Reporting
    • other regulatory reporting
  • Assist actuarial team to gather data for the calculation of Pillar I capital requirements and reserves
  • Set-up regulatory reporting processes from greenfield and assist in creating a global chart of accounts as per the lines of business and distribution channels
  • Provide inputs and drive system implementation as a regulatory reporting SME
  • Provide assistance to Legal Entity Reporting and the wider Finance department on strategic projects as required
  • Review, interact, train and manage offshore resources in India and help to retain and build knowledge through process documentation and knowledge sharing


  • An qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) or relevant accounting qualification
  • 5+ years’ experience in Insurance accounting and Regulatory reporting
  • Knowledge of London Market and lines of business
  • Highly motivated self-start with strong integrity
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate pragmatism and firm judgment
  • Knowledge of SEC and Bermuda Regulatory reporting is a plus
