Your new job as a Commercial Account handler will be working for an established, independent Brokers based in the heart of the City with modernised offices and facilities. Your new role
Your new role working as a Commercial Account Handler means you will work closely along side Account Executives dealing with clients from inception to completion to include preparing renewal schedules and dealing with all client queries. You will negotiate alternative quotes, prior to renewal dates, as well as dealing with the preparation of all documentation to include invoices, credit notes etc, ensuring a smooth and trouble-free renewal for the client. Other duties will include operating an effective credit control system and assisting in providing clients with unparalleled service
What you'll need to succeed
You previous experience working as a Commercial Account Handler handling Mid to large Corporate Commercial Risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a good understanding of all classes of Commercial risks, and a knowledge of, or willingness to learn fast, about multinational insurance arrangements. You will be Dip CII and above or have Cert CII status as a minimum and will wish to progress towards ACII. You will have practical experience of the role of a Commercial broker / Account handler, as well as good presentation skills. You will be confident obtaining information from clients via telephone & e-mail, as well as obtaining quotes and placing business. You will have excellent negotiating skills and the ability to build good relationships with both clients and insurers/underwriters. You will have communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational ability. You will ideally have experience using broking systems (Preferably Acturis)
