Your new role
Your new job as a Marine Hull Technician, means you will be responsible for providing an efficient, high quality and reliable service for both internal and external Customers, liaising extensively with clients and underwriters. Your day to day tasks will be dealing with the production and preparation of technical documentation to include MRC slips, endorsements and lineslips. Putting up quotations both for new and renewal business to Underwriters. Diarising and chasing premium settlements, bordereaux submissions, subjectivities and warranties etc as well as checking policy documents, (including endorsements) Other duties will include carrying out Due Diligence checks on new clients and receiving, logging, issuing and monitoring NOCs.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience within as a Marine Hull Technician, dealing with Marine Hull risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have at least a minimum of 3 years + experience and will have a good knowledge of Marine insurance and underlying legal principles. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of Marine Technical support and you will have extensive experience of preparing and producing technical documentation coupled with excellent communication skills. You'll have a willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally to the Company.
