Due to the growth within their Marine Division, a permanent position for a Broker Support Technician providing Front Office and back office support to Brokers has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as a Marine Insurance Technician, means you will be responsible for supporting Brokers and Director with all technical aspects in relation to the division. This will include; production of MRC Slips, Endorsements and Underwriting information for broking purposes. You will be responsible for supporting the Broker on the production of all documentation: MRC Slips, cover notes, premium, Contract Load Up & all relevant documentation. Due to the nature of the business, you will also be responsible for assisting with the placing of business as required and the Maintenance of placing files. You will be responsible for Assist in controlling premiums, commissions, allocating cashes, chasing bad debts & other monetary functions and develop an excellent working relationship with clients and markets as necessary
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Marine Technician within a Lloyd's Broker where you have had experience of handling all classes of Marine will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will be strong technically and competent in the production and processing of various technical documentation to include; MRC Slips, Endorsements, Credit/Debit notes and client presentation. You will be confident in your ability to liaise and managing client needs - be accurate and timely when it comes to producing all technical documentation and have a deep understanding of all classes of Marine Insurance risks. You will have strong communication and be able to develop relationships with Insurers, Clients and Brokers alike. Your confident nature will allow you to fit well into a dynamic and growing team. This role would suit a Marine Technician who wishes to work in the City for a well-renowned Broking House.
