A new opportunity has arisen for a Claims Handler to join our client, a well known Insurance establishment based in Ipswich.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally, ensuring excellent customer services is provided at all times
  • Correspondence via telephone, email, letter to all parties concerned
  • Setting and achieving agreed timescales to which call backs and other communication
  • Identifying potentially fraudulent activity
  • Complaint handling and resolving using company procedures
  • Negotiating settlement of Third Party Motor claims

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

  • At least one year's Motor claims experience
  • A strong understanding and detailed knowledge of - FOS, DPA, FSA, MIB and the relevant legislations
  • Awareness of the triggers that allow early identification of injury claims and other large losses
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to strict timescales
