Property Account Handler/Technician, City, Salary up to £60,000 dependent on experience, for a Lloyd's Broker

Your new company is an established Lloyd's broker based in the heart of the City who provide both UK and International Clients with advice and competitive products to service an array of specialist Insurance needs. Your new Brokers have direct and immediate access into Lloyd's and all of the UK's major insurers. Their products offer unique cover and exclusive access for risks often beyond the capability of local composites. With over 200 staff they offer years of insurance experience, and specialist divisions to ensure they provide their clients with the expertise and the broking skills necessary to place difficult risks within the London Market. Due to substantial growth within their Property team, a permanent position for a Senior Property Account Handler/Technician has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as Senior Property Technician/ Account Handler will be responsible for an all-encompassing and diverse role. Duties will include, drafting technical documentation including MRC slips and endorsements for UK Property Business. Deal with mid-term policy queries and issue endorsements where appropriate. You will also ensure effective handling of all allocated business as and when for both new and renewal business as well as any mid term adjustments. Liaise extensively with Brokers and respond promptly to intermediary queries as well as with customers and/or insurers. Other duties will include the use of PPL. This is a brand new position within a growing Property team and would suit a competent Broker back up support technician who can produce complicated technical documentation and can also deal with client queries.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Technician or Account Handler, handling Property risks ( UK or International they are open to all areas of Property) will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will be technically competent in all areas of producing technical documentation to include MRC slips and endorsements, Knowledge or experience in PPL would be advantageous but not essential. . Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships are a must. You will also be a proficient user of Microsoft Office to include: Outlook, Word and Excel.
