Your new job working as a Broker Back up Technician will be for a specialist Lloyd's broker in the City and Southend. Your new brokers are a young, innovative and fully accredited Lloyd's Broker who specialises in providing binders, facilities and reinsurance solutions. Due to the substantial growth in the technical division, a new permanent position for an all-encompassing Broker Back up Technician in the Southend office has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as a Broker Back up Technician means you will be responsible for both front and back end technical duties. You will be responsible for managing all binder renewals, reviewing performance and sending renewal notices and chasers. You will be producing and processing open market slips and will give assistance with binding authorities, as well as, producing MRC slips and Endorsements. You will also be responsible for producing cover notes, policy schedules, debit notes and monthly lineslip declarations. You will be using A&S systems daily and be able to produce LPAN's. Other duties will include maintaining required records, reports and files and present these to senior management, general administration and dealing with any ad hoc duties when required
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as a Broker Backup Technician within a respected Lloyd's Broker will contribute to you success in securing this role. You will have proven experience in the production of complex technical documentation to include MRC Slips. You will have proven experience of dealing with both Open Market risks and Binding Authorities. You will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Software to include Word, Excel and Outlook and you will confident in your ability using the Brokasure system. Ideally, you will be professionally qualified and have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates. You will be able to show excellent time management skills, while prioritising and ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
