Your new company
Your new job as an Account Manager /new business executive will be working for an Independent Broker who are made up of 6 individual companies working together to provide latent defects insurance (more commonly known as a structural warranty), Building Control and other insurance schemes to support the construction industry across the UK and in Europe. As the business has grown, new offices have opened up in key business areas across the UK. Due to the growth within their Local Authority Binding Control Sales team, a permanent position as an Account Manager/New Business Executive has arisen to be home based but deal with clients around the M25.
Your new role
Your new job working as an Account Manager/New Business Executive means you will actively identify new business opportunities from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities with potential new clients as well as look after some existing accounts. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director to support and maintain all clients' needs. You will be home based but will be dealing and attending client meetings around all within the M25. Building internal relationships will be a key part of this role, working closely with the in-house surveyors and the technical team once you have brought new customers on board. Other duties will include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders as well as preparing sales reports and answering any client queries.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or Business Developer within Insurance experience will lead to your success in securing this role. You will be able to demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. Ideally You will have experience with the CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel). Experience in business development and delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs as well as the ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time. Sharp attention to detail will be key. You will have effective listening, negotiation and presentation abilities as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
