Binding Authority Technician


£30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)

An opportunity has arisen for a Binding Authority Technician at a Market Leading Insurance Broker.

They are embarking on an exciting period of growth, increasing their staff numbers and bringing in more business.

You will play an important part in that growth within their highly regarded Binding Authority department.

The Binding Authority Technician will involve:

  • Accurate and effective technical administration support directly to clients
  • Providing renewal information in good time to enable terms to be obtained and firm orders placed
  • Ensuring all relevant information is gathered in the preparation of market documentation
  • Achieving agreement from markets where required and maintaining diary/pending system to monitor progress
  • Accurate and timely production of client documentation and maintaining accurate and concise placing files
  • Liaising with compliance and credit control to ensure all procedures are followed

To be successful in the Binding Authority Technician role you will demonstrate:

  • Experience working in a technical binder role with excellent knowledge of binders process
  • Knowledge of Xchanging and ECF, CLASS
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience in producing relevant reports and trend analysis
  • Handling premium or claims bordereaux, with the ability to learn both
