Commercial Insurance Account Executive
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s leading independent Insurance broker BQI, working as an Account Executive.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for developing a detailed understanding of your clients’ businesses and the risks they face. You’ll proactively contact your client prior to renewal, review their insurance programmes to identify any gaps in cover and, should any be highlighted, suggest appropriate means to mitigate these. You’ll be responsible for the full renewal cycle and have access to a range of mainstream composite insurers, specialist carriers and MGA’s. You will use your superb negotiation sills to secure your clients the most comprehensive levels of cover at competitive premiums.
The successful Account Executive will inherit a portfolio of small to medium sized business. This will include businesses from the Construction sector, Property Owners & the Leisure industry. Individual clients could vary in premium size between £200-£5,000 GWP initially, with opportunities to increase premium size as you progress with our company.
Whilst we are ideally looking to speak to Account Executives with 1-2 years’ experience, we do welcome applications from Commercial Account Handlers who are ready to make that next step in their career.
It is essential you have a sound understanding of all common commercial covers such as Property, Liability, Contractors Combined and Package business. You must also be personable with excellent communication skills and the ability to get on with people from all walks of life.

Progress made towards professional qualifications under the CII would certainly add value to your application, but not essential.
