Binding Authority Technician
Location: City of London office with flexibility for home working for part of the week
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

We have an opportunity for an experienced binding authority technician to join a dedicated support team. You will be joining a dynamic and expanding Lloyds broker at an exciting time in their evolution.

Job Purpose:
Provide effective management of monthly written and premium bordereau received from coverholders, ensure timely submissions to Lloyds/Company market & Xchanging together with the creation of statistical reports.


Key Responsibilities:

Produces and issues in a timely manner client evidence of coverage to include Cover Notes, Addenda, Debit/Credit Notes and all related documentation and Produces Monthly Bordereau and Statistics, updating records accordingly
Produces Contract Endorsements for underwriter agreement if and when necessary
Ensures all documentation meets Contract Certainty and regulatory guidelines
Submits Slips and LPAN's to Bureau (XIS) for signing
Provides swift and accurate resolution of any queries received
Ensures internal paper & electronic systems, databases and work flows as they relate to Technical are maintained
Uses Broking Systems to produce documents and accounting entries and ensure their accuracy
Will make use of London Market based portals to facilitate their role, such as, but not limited to; XIS Insurance Portal and IMR as well as Lineage
Create statistical reports pertaining to earned and incurred figures and triangulations.


Skills & Knowledge :

Strong understanding of the processes and procedures required for the effective management of monthly bordereaux in the Lloyds/Company markets.
Experience administrating North American binding authorities.
Experience using Xchanging portals and resolving queries
Data analysis and the ability to create statistical reports
Good communication, managing expectations and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of market and products with an ability to adapt these to client needs
Ability to be self-disciplined to work alone and as part of a team
Accurate and strong attention to detail ability to deal effectively with complex and/or bespoke documentation
Preferably ACII qualified or working towards ACII qualification
