Business Development Manager

This client facing BDM position has been newly created and here you'll be pioneering a brand spanking new sales function for this global insurance brand.

There's no 'well this is how we've always done it' attitude here. You'll have your guidelines yes, but you can really put your own stamp on things.

The concept here is all about relationships. So to really thrive here, you'll be the type of person who is energized by getting the very best out of people.

It's a commercial insurance unit who operate in a unique way with several independent business areas all generating commercial insurance business across both traditional and emerging markets.

You'll be the new business engine room that effectively supports the new business activity across these internal business functions.

So you'll be involved in….

  • Managing new business prospects across the tech, charities and life sciences markets
  • Introducing new risk and periphery services to existing clients
  • Managing relationships with internal corporate partnerships to drive new business
  • Handling professional practice introducer relationships
  • Working strategically to develop new business in specific sectors for business areas
  • Educating business areas with new services and support to assist with sales

Here you'll work from home and spend much of your days combining face to face client work with meeting your business area leaders for new business strategy sessions and external business introducers.

The progression here is superb so for those of you reading that want to grow and develop, you'll be pleased to know there is a clear route into running your own business area and significant commercial clientele.

Location is neutral across Scotland, plus bonus and benefits.
