So you are a Claims Handler who is looking to get into loss adjusting but no one seems to give you this opportunity, sound familiar?
Well I have an opportunity where the client is looking to take on a Claims Handler (or Junior Adjuster) and train them up to become a Property Loss Adjuster.
You will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and effective insurance claims service, determining the amount of damage or loss covered by the insurance policy. Gathering information about the claim by interviewing the client, often on site, and possibly liaising with Police, Solicitors, Surveyors, and forensic experts you will then check that insurance policy conditions have been followed, the policy will cover the loss and the amounts claimed are fair and reasonable.
Giving advice and support, including the organisation's risk management and broking process. This will involve assisting with the development of the organisation processes, particularly by promoting awareness of the importance/benefits of the claims function.
You will also be responsible for the administration of claims and associated queries. This involves considerable contact with Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Solicitors, Brokers, and clients. Generating own correspondence on contentious issues and providing reports and advice to senior management where necessary.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss further.
