The global Construction insurance arena in 2021 is to continue to be a challenging market but with anticipation of progress towards stabilisation of pricing and new capacity entering the market which should help moderate the market as we move through the year. While there will be specific lines of coverage which will see this impact later than others (professional indemnity, excess liability as potentially two key lines), signs now point to more options in key lines such as property and builder's risk/CAR as the year progresses. The role of an insurance broker is even more challenging in the current environment. The value and importance of ensuring that our clients are suitably prepared is more urgent now than it has been for some time. The risk transfer process needs to be methodical, organised, and meticulous. The underlining recommendation to our clients is to ensure that suitable amounts of time are allocated to the risk transfer process.
I am working on behalf of a leading global Broker who is keen to strengthen their existing team with the appointment on a high calibre Construction PI Specialist. You will be tasked with managing both new and existing construction professional service sector clients (predominantly large engineering firms, house builders, surveying practices and other large professional firms associated with the construction and real estate industry) by delivering the desired client experience and value proposition; and strategically leading and developing the client management team.
Applications are invited from individuals with experience of dealing with large construction businesses at a senior management level for their financial lines insurance requirements. You will be in a position to demonstrate leadership capabilities alongside excellent communication and presentation skills with proven track record building client relationships. In addition to your unrivalled technical insurance knowledge, you will have the ability to manage, motivate and coach team members.
