Senior Commercial Account Handler & Team Leader

We are now looking for a Senior Commercial Account Handler who can also perform Team Leader duties for our Commercial & Schemes General Insurance Administration Teams and to liaise with other parts of the business.

The role is varied and inclusive, with the primary focus on handing our Commercial insurance clients and you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director. There is plenty of scope to be involved in many aspects of the business and develop in general; and your input and opinions will be sought and valued as an important Senior member of the Team. 

The main duties include:

Existing Client Renewals:

  • Key clients - “take ownership” and pre-renewal & renewal visits
  • Key clients - broking of renewals & presenting terms
  • Up-/cross-sell products to clients with individual bonus incentive
  • Allocate renewals to each Account handler on a month-by-month basis
  • Monitor handler performance with Acturis reports & Team meetings

New Business Support:

  • Liaison with Commercial sales consultants regarding New Business enquiries generated
  • Providing broking support to sales consultants in getting new presentations into the market and tracking quotations through process
  • Entering new business written into Acturis system & raising invoices
  • Liaising with Accounts Department regarding credit control
  • Input & involvement in design & implementation of new sales initiatives

Management:

  • Day-to-day management of Commercial & Schemes administration team(s)
  • Workflow assessment & renewal management of both areas
  • Evaluation of team member performance
  • Liaising with Accounts Department regarding credit control
  • Review existing processes with “continual evolution” outlook
  • Weekly meetings with Managing Director to update position & progress
  • Liaison with external Compliance Office regarding processes, changes & updates

Qualification & Experience requirements:

  • Cert CII minimum – support & assistance where needed to achieve Dip CII & additional training
  • Minimum 3-5 years Commercial insurance experience
  • Acturis broking back-office system preferable
