SME Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Working alongside the Account Director ensuring the smooth day to day servicing of an existing book of SME Commercial Insurance Client Accounts.

Note this is a small general insurance team of two persons working within a large accounting and financial services group of companies. Any successful candidate will be encouraged to learn all areas of this insurance business with opportunities for a driven and technically able person to develop into a managerial role in time.

Experience of Acturis broking software is a major plus.

You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own allocated portfolio of clients, as well as supporting the servicing of larger accounts.

Speaking with clients at new business and renewal stage, to accurately identify their insurance programme requirements, in order to provide the most relevant and cost effective quotations.

Client satisfaction and business retention is key and the business is structured to ensure that clients receive the most attentive service.

You will be ensuring that all renewal activities are dealt with in a timely manner and meet all standard process procedures and service level requirements.

Additional duties include checking and issuing policy documentation, responding to day to day client queries and Insurer queries, processing mid-term adjustments, support the Director is managing claims, some administrative duties including supporting the accounting function.

The Commercial Insurance broking experience you have already gained should ensure that you have a firm foundation knowledge of the current product offerings in the market.

It is anticipated that applicants will have at least 12 months Commercial Insurance broking experience which must include the major classes of business - Property, Liability, Business Interruption, Professional Indemnity, Motor Fleet etc. 

Strong communication skills.

A pro-active approach to team work and client service.

Central town location with free parking and easy access although it is anticipated some home working will be allowed with this role.
