TECHNICIAN/BROKER SUPPORT to £30,000
City based - Flexible WFH
We are looking for an experienced Technician to join a busy Professional and Financial Risk Division. We would anticipate a minimum of 2/3 years' experience preferably within a Lloyds Broker in a technical capacity.
Outline of duties below…
Producing documentation including quotes, cover notes, debit notes, slips, endorsements, letters and correspondence
Maintaining filing and archiving systems.
Entering data onto Global system and providing feedback.
Preparing submissions for underwriters.
Liaising with clients to request information and chase for outstanding funds.
Chasing underwriters for outstanding quotes.
Dealing with queries from Brokers and clients, escalating issues to Head of Division/Senior Broker Producers to ensure timely resolution where appropriate.
Developing an understanding and awareness of Group processes and procedures and working within the parameters of the role.
Developing an awareness of the FCA Guidelines and rules.
Undertaking general office administrative duties as and when required.
Setting up/ Creation of the account on Global
Processing the renewal slips
Indexing/filing all the relevant documents to Global
Provide technical coordination and support
Processing MRC Slips, Endorsements and LPAN
Processing premiums / Invoices and sending it out to producing intermediaries / direct assureds
Checking and processing premium bordereaux
Production of all Insurance documentation
Requesting to Releasing of Delinked & non-bureau premiums
Maintenance of SDD spreadsheets
Registration of Binding Authority Agreements (BARS / ATLAS & Crystal, liaison with Xchanging and other Lloyd's and company offices
Preparation, arrangement and checking of Binding Authority Agreements, Line Slips, Proposal Forms, Full Policy Wordings, endorsements, and bordereaux
Monthly bordereau production in Lloyd's / Underwriter approved format
Submission of all Xchanging documentation via IMR system
Dealing with account queries relating to Xchanging submissions
Accounting and Taxes
Checking tax requirements as per crystal / producing intermediaries
Assisting U/w and Accounts with any queries relating to reconciliation
Reporting and Liaising
Liaison with brokers and underwriters and resulting queries
Liaison with accounts department regarding payment of premium to market and bureau and assist them with any queries and in addition deal with premium signing queries from the bureau or underwriters
Liaising with underwriters with any requests/assistance they may need
Liaising with producing intermediaries for their queries and additional assistance they need
Overseeing and completing production of new claims files and ensuring they are complete in line with defined standards
Escalating contentious issues/complex claims to Claims Manager or Head of Division when outside scope of own competency levels
Providing regular feedback to Claims Manager on portfolio of claims, current status and market conditions and their possible implications
Providing Underwriters with an informed précis of claim
Reviewing and assessing Underwriters comments and making informed decisions
Overseeing the receiving of settlements within agreed timescale
